A happy birthday to director Peter Weir today! I bounce between being grateful that he captured Mel when he was so young and so pretty before we knew what a psycho he was, and being resentful that these old pictures exist to make me feel such contradictory things in the first place. But then I remember the pile of great great movies Weir made without Gibson in them and I let him off the hook.

WOW he was so classically good looking.
Then he turned into a hot DILF. Not so much anymore :C
So very very beautiful on the outside but so very very ugly on the inside. But then again isn't that often the case? :|
Have you ever watched Tim? Mel loves his short shorts in that movie.
He has literally lost all the appeal he used to have. It has all vanished. And I'm talking since at least the early-to-mid 90's, when he first started making all kinds of really stupid homophobic remarks to the press.
