I was trying to find a picture of Alfred Hitchcock with Rope screenwriter (slash accomplished playwright) Arthur Laurents together here on the 93rd anniversary of Laurents' birth, but alas, none revealed themselves. I did however find that awesome picture there from behind-the-scenes of Rope with Hitch watching on as Farley Granger and John Dall got their chicken strangling on, so that's a hefty something on its own.

did you read Laurent's autobio? according to him there would have been no WEST SIDE STORY or GYPSY or any other thing of merit without him. I love both pieces but he is insufferable. I'll be surprised it GYPSY the film gets made again with him involved.
