Kit Harington One Time

.
(click to embiggen) That's a new shot of Mr. Snow via Rolling Stone, where they chatted with him once again (wasn't he on the cover just a couple of months ago too?) about A Game of Thrones and all that jazz - if you don't feel like reading the whole thing here's a highlight:

"I really disagree with 'Downton Abbey' on a lot of fucking levels. It celebrates the class system, and its kind of overall message seems to be 'Wasn't it good when everybody knew their place within society?' Why should we hark back to those times? It was bullshit. We got out of that, and thank the fuck we did."

Gauntlet thrown down, tough guy.

I'm actually sort of sick of Downton Abbey myself - I still haven't finished the last season, and actually totally forgot that I hadn't finished the last season until right this minute, reading that quote. So clearly I haven't been missing it. If Charlie Cox had come back and made out with Thomas some more I maybe would've perked up but it was too much of the same this past year, I thought. Meanwhile I've spent all morning reading recaps of last night's Game of Thrones finale. So I guess I'm actually Team Kit! (Does this mean he'll have sex with me? This means he'll have sex with me, right?)

I think both that picture (or one very similar to it) and the quote are from his rolling stone cover a few months ago (April or May, maybe? I remember reading it on a flight I took in early May.) I remember particularly that quote. It was the same issue that had a pretty decent interview with GRRM.

You're totally right, Jez, I just hadn't seen that picture before and missed the date on the article. Thanks! :)

I think it's harder for people from the UK to forget that Downton is written by a smug elitist Tory bastard, which can't help but colo(u)r one's impression of it.
