I Am Link

.
--- Dare To Devil - When Charlie Cox slips on his obscenely tight red jumpsuit as Daredevil (I mean it, guys - you make that costume OBSCENE) for the Netflix-meets-Marvel super-series, he'll be doing it to face off again Vincent D'Onofrio, who was just announced to be playing the bad guy Kingpin. Vinnie's gotten a little bit long in the tooth but I'd still watch him make out with Charlie Cox like he made out with Thomas Jane, truthfully. So I'm sold!

--- Lit Killer - I saw James Franco on the street the other day - he was meet-n-greeting the crowd outside of Of Mice and Men on Broadway, and I realized I've come to the point where it was hard not to scream an obscenity at him. This is bad news for James - I held out for a long while, longer than a lot of folks it seemed, but something finally snapped over the past month or so. Anyway that's all my lead-in to linking to this article at Gawker rightfully crucifying the terrible awful Lindsay Lohan short story he wrote for Vice. He is the worst.

--- Blue Lady - James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver have made it official! No they're not getting married (I cannot imagine Siggy taking his shit outside of the work-place; I don't know how Suzy Amis does it... my guess is they have ten houses and she manages to just avoid him most of the time), but they've finally officially confirmed that Sigourney's going to be in all the new Avatar movies, parts one through fifteen-hundred or whatever.
.
--- Slash n' Dash - I'm always pressing my ear to the ground for what might be an interesting horror flick - have any of you seen Mischief Night? I stopped reading this review at AICN halfway through to keep myself spoiler-free but they managed to make it sound interesting enough for me to seek it out all the same. I guess it just got released on demand.

--- Well Done - Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller announced the other day that he and the rest of the Hannibal writers just had their first day back in the writer's room working on the next season, so it's certainly not too soon or too late for that matter to read this new interview with Hugh Dancy on the end we just saw and the new beginning we've got coming for us.
.
--- Flip The Bird - For awhile Darren Aronofsky was going to make the spy-thriller Red Sparrow, which is about a dangerous Russian female spy who is, and I am quoting this straight from Deadline, "a trained seductress in the art of ‘sexpionage,’ but he dropped it... only for David Fincher to pick it up. And since it's David Fincher, obviously this sexual saboteur will be played by Rooney Mara. I mean clearly. Those two have some issues, bless 'em.

--- Full Metal Bitch - Even though I haven't gotten around to properly reviewing the Tom Cruise flick Edge of Tomorrow yet I will underline, circle, and scratch a yellow highlighter across this entire article praising Emily Blunt's action-hero bonafides in the movie - she is totally fan-fucking-tastic in the movie. I never would have guessed that she'd make such a fabulous action star, but I want an Aliens franchise for her immediately.

--- Cover Up - The leading men in the Coen Brothers' new movie called Hail Caesar are both ol' Coen pros - George Clooney and Josh Brolin will both star in the movie about a Hollywood gossip cleaner-upper in the 1950s. I find Clooney's participation in this film especially interesting, considering how much grist for Rock Hudson type gossip he's been for years upon years.

Mischief Night was awful. It was boring and preachy. It was just eyeroll inducing.
