I Am Link

.
--- Couture Killer - We heard about Kate Winslet's next movie The Dressmaker awhile back but now there's even more information, which I dive into over at The Film Experience - Judy Davis is playing Kate's mother, and Kate is playing a haute couture designer accused of murder and using fashion for fun and revenge. Oh and Kate will be fucking Liam Hemsworth. Jocelyn Morehouse, who directed Proof, is directing this - did you know she's married to PJ Hogan? I just said so many happy words.
.
--- Lethal Thor - Meanwhile in other Hemsworth brother news, Chris is rumored to be up for the lead in Lionhunters, which is apparently what they're calling the spin-off of the Lethal Weapon franchise. Hemsworth would be playing the son of Mel Gibson's character, "leaving the door open" for Mel to come back at some point... ugh.
.
--- Blue For You - I posted the first trailer for Mathieu Amalric's next movie La Chambre Bleue the other week, but now there's a second one that is slightly longer and also this new one has more of Mathieu naked, so I am linking to this one as well.

--- Suit Yourself - Yesterday I posted a couple of pictures of Colin Farrell and Rachel Weisz on the set of Yorgos Lanthimos' new film The Lobster, and today we've got an official picture, via The Playlist. No Rachel to be seen here, just Colin and his co-stars John C. Reilly and Ben Whishaw. (Mmmm Ben Whishaw.) I wonder if they'll have this thing ready before the end of the year? I want it!

--- Laughing Gas - EW got some details out of Ryan Murphy (the word "got" implies it takes any effort at all to have Ryan Murphy tell you things; it really doesn't seem very hard) on the fourth season of American Horror Story, including that there will be a killer clown (shocker) and a bearded lady.
--- Night of the Krampus - I'm kind of sad that a movie's being made about Krampus, because here in the US he's still not known all that well (I did an informal survey this year at the holidays and believe it or not, he's not) and I don't want a bunch of dumb Americans killing my favorite Christmas devil, but I guess if it has to made then hiring Michael Dougherty, the director of Trick r' Treat, isn't a bad way to go about it.
--- Room Enough - I always get yelled at when I admit I still haven't seen the legendarily bad movie The Room, but I still haven't, so I've steeled myself for your hisses in order to share this news that James Franco is making a movie about the making of that movie, in which he will play its horrible mastermind Tommy Wiseau. Listen there are two reasons why I haven't seen it yet, and they feed each other unto infinity - I don't want to watch it at home alone without a crowd of people, because you lose something watching bad movies alone sometimes, and second the only time it's ever screened is at Midnight showings here in NY, and I can't do Midnight screenings anymore, I am old and doddering and I just like my rest too much. Y'all fix that and we'll make this happen.
