If you've been paying attention to the Spanish zombie-ish film series that goes by [REC] (Parts One, Two, and Three) then you've been lucky, cuz they're awesome. They are all awesome. The first two were directed by both Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza; after that the two directors split up so Balagueró could work on a creepy little movie called Sleep Tight (reviewed here) - while he did that Paco Plaza made the third [REC] movie (reviewed here), which was a swerve into horror-comedy a la The Evil Dead, which it managed with great verve. And horror-comedy is really hard to nail!
Anyway now it's Balagueró's turn to take on the [REC] series on his lonesome with [REC]: Apocalypse, and that there above is the trailer (via). As you can see original star Manuela Velasco is back being tormented in her tank-top, lucky her. The film is out in October in Spain - still no word on when we'll get it but the fact that this trailer's got subtitles has me hopeful they're working on that.
