That's our first look at Cate Blanchett on the set of Carol, Todd Haynes' adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's book The Price of Salt, aka the most anticipated movie in the history of ever. (via, thanks Murtada) The costuming's perfection, but the hair's blonder than what I had in my head from reading the book. Oh whatever, I'm gonna hazard a crazy guess here that Cate Blanchett is gonna be good in this. Crazy, I know!

She looks FANTASTIC. Sandy Powell is making 50s magic again. The fabulous trinity from far From Heaven Powell/Lachman/Haynes reunited along with Cate = actual Heaven.
