A week ago I would've met the news that Jai Courtney has been cast in the new Terminator movie in the role of Kyle Reese (aka Michael Beihn in the original movie) with less enthusiasm - yes he's a very attractive man, but as The Playlist puts it...
"The actor, who broke out in "Spartacus: Blood & Sand," is threatening to become another Sam Worthington — frequently cast, but rarely memorable. Despite appearances in "Jack Reacher," "A Good Day To Die Hard," and "I Frankenstein" he's failed to move the needle much."
But I'm a little more optimistic about him now since two nights ago I saw Felony, which starred Jai opposite Joel Edgerton (eesh I still have to review that), and he was actually very good in it. Hope floats, yo. I mean I probably would've been more excited if Garrett Hedlund or Nicky Hoult hadn't passed on the part, but I'm open to Jai (heh) now. Bring it, dude. I want a good Terminator movie, dammit.

I was indifferent to the remake before hearing this but may have to give it a glance now. He was very affecting in Spartacus and it would have been hard for anybody to make much of an impression in that dreadful Die Hard retread. Maybe it depends on his director, he's still young so perhaps he hasn't settled into his confidence yet. So attractive either way.
Would much rather have Jai Courtney than Garret Hedlund. Hedlund strikes me as pretty much the same in every movie, and his bland looks and slack chest never add much to the scenery.
