Sam and I have had such a tempestuous relationship! Let me catch you all up. When I first discovered him way back in the Spring of 2011 I thought he was totally adorable. I hadn't seen him in anything yet but I was hearing his name around and so I did a nice big gratuitous post on him. Then I saw him in something - a pair of somethings actually - with whatever Pirates movie he was in and then Snow White and the Huntsman, and man alive was he a non-factor. Then he got cast as Finnick, and, well, that didn't go over well. Then I saw the movie and I know he was fine to good for a lot of you folks but he was one of the film's weakest aspects for me. Then the other day I saw the above shot of him faux-shaving shirtless and I have to admit it reminded me of the cute boy I remembered from way back when. I was willing to cut him a break. But then!

Then I watched the video! It's a chat with him interspersed with him doing a photo-shoot for People. First he admits he's never seen a James Dean movie, which hey, I only saw Dean's movies all the way through a couple of years ago. I did catch my breath for a second, but he's younger than me, I will cut him some slack. It was the part after that, where he starts rambling about not being a film buff that was a bridge too far. He's sort of embarrassed but he tries to be all cute about it. Ugh. Get out of my world, Sam Claflin. The rest of us, we'll hit the jump and stare at these shirtless pictures of you from the video.
