Everything You Ever Need To Know About Life...

... you can learn from:

Sarah: I got into the habit of it at school. It's funny Papa.
You can't just change your habits in a couple of months,
can you? Besides, it's good for your health.
Once a day is the very least. Don't you agree?
Alfred: Yes...
Sarah: Do you mind if I have a quick one?
Alfred: Huh? I don't mind at all, but...
Sarah: Oh thank you! You are being very nice.
Now could you get me some hot water?

Sharon Tate would have been 71 today, can you believe that? How do you think she would have turned out as an actress? Obviously Polanski would have kept putting her in his movies, seeing as how he keeps thrusting Seigner on us. (Not a fan.) Speaking of I watched Roman Polanski: A Film Memoir a few weeks ago and I do not recommend it - I found the filmmaker astonishingly irritating and he thrusts himself into the story over and over again, and it's far too eager to grossly gloss over Polanski's troubles. There were a few moments of insight where Polanski tells the stories of his family's Holocaust experiences but I was really hoping, based on its title, that it was going to side-step his home-life and talk about the movies and their making of's and it wasn't that at all.

Who knows how her film career would have progressed of course but she did have a very real knack for comedy based on her performances in Don't Make Waves and especially The Wrecking Crew.

She certainly had the requisite radiance and star quality to make it to the top, even in that train wreck that is Valley of the Dolls she glows, and was definitely on the rise at the time of her death.

I don't know if Polanski was the right director for her though, he's specialty is darkness and she was far more at ease with comedic material. Plus from what I've read their marriage while not on the rocks exactly had more than its share of difficulties.

It does seem incredible that she would be 71 now, what a senseless waste.
