This should have been what he wore to the prom in the Carrie remake. That whole jaunty trying-on-tuxes montage would've been an entirely different, insanely more watchable beast this way - like that I just made that terrible movie instantly eighty to eighty-seven percent better. Anyway this reminds me of one other thing I found annoying about that movie though - everybody said they were going "to prom" - as in, "I've been asked to prom" - people don't say it that way anymore! If they ever did? Is it a British thing like with hospital? We say THE prom. I am going to THE prom. Somebody asked me to go to THE prom. The script was so tin-eared, ugh. (pics via)
