Oh God Not This Again

.
I thought maybe it'd fallen through the cracks for good, or at least gone to Dubrovnik where I couldn't hear it, but NBC's back in the business of making their Rosemary's Baby miniseries, says Deadline. The suits that be just aren't going to rest until they take their demon baby shaped dump made out of dollar bills, so I suppose I should just suck it up and let them have their way - maybe they can make something so terrible it will be interesting? (HA.)

They've got Europa Europa director Agnieszka Holland on board, and hey look at this - one of its writers is James Wong, who made the first and third Final Destination movies. I can't wait to see the elaborate mouse-trap that knocks Terry Gionoffrio out the window to her doom on some spikes below! Wong's also been doing a bunch of work on American Horror Story. I know they're trying to calm me here, using him. Won't work!

The thing's shooting in Paris, which actually isn't a bad idea - as a Midwestern girl Rosemary's isolation and paranoia will make more sense, in this day and age, in an entirely foreign country. Iowan girls are popping off the bus to flash their tits in Times Square these days; New York doesn't hold quite the same old school haunted otherness that it used to. But why am I going out of my way to look for positives? Trainwreck! Doomed! Armageddon!

Yeah, there's just going to be no rest/no peace until they make a crappy remake of everything I hold dear.
