The first real trailer for HBO's show Looking has arrived. Looking stars Glee's Jonathan Groff as a young pretty white gay male in San Francisco, looking for love and probably finding lots and lots of sex.
I won't say "instead," I'm no puritan (ya think) but we're still waiting to see if this steers closer to executive producer Andrew Haigh's film Weekend, which married love and sex beautifully, or the American version of Queer as Folk, which was really just terrible porn with lousy actors. I have hope it's more the former, though.

I won't watch this, I can't. I had such high hopes for Queer as Folk, but then it turned into the worst Soap Porn. It was like the second series of Tales Of The City. Everything human was stripped out of it and it was all about the 'dr-AMA' Everything I've seen turns this into just so much hookups and angst.
I'm expecting him to bleach a corner of his hair bright white-blonde, adopt a cali-boi accent, and eat grapes on a front porch in jorts with a faghag. "And, I was going to get it on with him, but he was like this 'I'm not gonna use a condom, it don't feel right'. But I told him, no rough trade, cause I'm not gonna get the HIV (pronounce H-ifv)."
