If you head on over to The Film Experience you can read my thoughts on Steve McQueen's extraordinarily moving film. A warning though - I didn't even think about it as I wrote it but I guess I sort of start off with a spoiler, or at least a plot point, wherein I describe a scene from the middle of the film. I don't think it will really ruin anything, knowing how this scene plays out, but if you don't want to know anything beforehand (which I totally get) you might want to hold off. Anyway it's a great great movie, and deserves all of the praise it's getting. It knocked me out.
