... news made precisely for me. Didja hear this one, y'all? Cary Fukunaga, director (and sexpot) of the wonderful films Sin Nombre and Jane Eyre, is going to make a movie starring Idris Elba! Yes, please. It'll be an adaptation of the book Beasts of No Nation, which is about two young boys whose West African country is torn apart by war who get pulled into mercenary fighting; Elba will play the lead fighter. Has anyone read the book? This definitely sounds like a return to Sin Nombre territory for the director; I'm guessing his remake adaptation of Stephen King's It is at least on hold, then.
