There are a whole slew of really spectacularly exciting horror movies that'll be playing in Toronto this Fall for the film fest; one of the bigguns is Ti West's new film called The Sacrament. Yeah The Innkeepers was a little bit of a come-down after The House of the Devil but certainly not enough to dull my affections for the filmmaker, or to quell my thirst for anything he's putting out. The Playlist has the first three images from the new film, one of which you can see above - that's AJ Bowen, who should be a familiar face to you if you've watched a horror movie over the past half decade. He's the one who said, "Are you not the babysitter," for example. The Playlist also shares a synopsis of the new movie, which you can read there - succinctly it's the story of a couple of journalists who get in over their head (naturally) with a rural cult. (I wish they were a couple of jurors instead of journalists, so the movie could co-star Jenna Maroney.)
