Teen Wolf Bat Man

.
This will presumably sound like bullshit after the fact but when I posted my post about "Who should play Batman opposite Henry Cavill's Superman in the upcoming face-off movie?" earlier this week Tyler Hoechlin's name really did spin through my head at the time. I just didn't mention it because it seemed unlikely that DC would be handing such an immense character to such a relatively unproven gentleman. I'll give you he's a spectacularly handsome, like supernaturally so, unproven gentleman. But an unproven gentleman he remains all the same. Some vamping around as the elder werewolf on an MTV show about hormonal teen boys and the hormonal teen boys who love them just didn't seem enough. The other names listed at least we know. I've gawked at Hoechlin plenty - see here and here and here - but is physical perfection enough? A lot of people already crowed (and were not entirely wrong to do so) about Cavill being kind of bland in Man of Steel.

Yadda yadda this site's reporting that Hoechlin is up for the part and is going to be screen-testing with Henry Cavill. Hopefully by "screen-testing" they mean "wrestling without their clothes on, which will then be put on the internet." I don't know how credible that site's reporting is - they just name an anonymous source at the studio - and I'm sure everybody's going to be saying their client's being considered for the role up until the minute the casting's announced because hot damn this is a good way to get your name out there. But hey, it allows me to imagine Tyler Hoechlin and Henry Cavill "screen-testing" together, so what do I care.

Crazily enough, this does not seem like a bad idea. I can see him as Wayne both in and out of the suit. It works for me, wierdly.
