Jack the Giant Slayer in 150 Words or Less

.
I don't even want to waste my time writing about this movie after they already wasted my time by making it and then I wasted my time by sitting through the whole thing. I don't even know how this got released. It's awful. Just ugly and boring and a big old waste of everybody's time. It's actually embarrassing - I felt embarrassed for everybody involved while watching it. I think I figured out why there's a sequence that begins the film seemingly computer-animated with 1992 technology though (I tweeted some befuddlement as I was watching it) - it's to make the following hour and a half of shitty-by-today's-standards CG look slightly better. "Well at least it's not as ridiculous looking as that prologue," we all sigh in exhaustion, only to nod off again. Ugh. What a cow plop. I thought about just throwing myself out the window during this movie, but didn't want to give them the satisfaction.

The only reason I would ever watch this is because I read that Daniel Lapaine (aka David Van Arkle, Muriels ex husband) plays Jack's father in an uncredited role. Did you notice him at all?

Oh god was that him? I'm trying to picture that part and all I see is a wig sitting on shoulder pads.

This movie made me cry. I am a writer and these movies make me cry because I've written masterpieces (well did you expect me to say otherwise?) and honestly I cried wacthing that. I mean I can't have a break yet people got PAID to do that?
This is not fair.

It’s a fun movie and if that’s what you go in expecting, then you’re going to be happy. At least that’s what I went in feeling like. Good review.
