Ugh now I'm going to have that fucking phrase "Is it the true-true?" stuck in my head all day - today is already ruined! Shut it down, we'll come back tomorrow. According to Deadline Tom Hanks is re-teaming with his Cloud Atlas director Tom Tykwer (he co-directed the movie along with the Wachowski siblings) for an adaptation of Dave Eggers' recent book A Hologram For the King. The book, according to them, is about a man trying to "do something memorable" with his life so he heads to Saudi Arabia, yadda yadda, late-mid-life crisis... actually Tom Hanks is 56, can that still be called mid-life anything, even late? Anyway I still love Tom Tykwer, even if it took me a few days with a wire-brush and that funny pink soap they has in shop class to scrub Cloud Atlas totally off of my brain, so I'll always report what he's doing, so I hope this is a rebound. I wish he'd do more explicitly gay stuff like he did with 3, I liked thinking about him directing those scenes...
