--- Fierce Competitor - Bryan Singer tweeted this picture of Michael Fassbender on the set of the new X-Men movie yesterday (click the link for the full image), via EW,
with the line "The dark knight rises." I was going to say that made me
want to see Fassy play Batman but you know, not really? I don't really
think he's right for Batman, weirdly. Or maybe I'm just sick to death fo Batman at this point. I think it might be the latter.
--- Hills Ville - I hadn't really been paying attention to the news about there being a Hillary bio-pic in the works - I'd seen the news but as much as I love Hillary (and I love Hillary a whole bunch) political biopics just really aren't my bag - so I dunno if her name had been mentioned earlier but I think Carey Mulligan is a wonderful pick to play her. Just about perfect, really.
--- Peak Form - I'm sad that Emma Stone's dropped out of Guillermo Del Toro's haunted romance movie Crimson Peak, but since it's Mia Wasikowska that's probably going to replace her I am only a little bit sad. And honestly, as long as Charlie Hunnam stays on-board I really don't give a shit who else is there, elt's be honest.
--- Everything Edgerton - Haven't read this yet but The Playlist chatted with Joel Edgerton
about a bunch of things, including what the hell's going on with that
Jane Got a Gun movie. I doubt they asked him about the
left-nothing-to-the-imagination fit of his jodhpurs in The Great Gatsby though, sadly.

--- Iron Clad - I don't know why Joss Whedon has it out for me after I heaped so much praise upon his little Shakespeare movie, but he says there's no way anybody's making a second Avengers movie without Robert Downey Jr in it... dammit. I was "secretly" (i.e. not secretly) hoping they'd recast the role with, I dunno, anybody with four limbs that wasn't Robert Downey Jr.
--- The Dying Paul - Once Paul Schrader's done selling that Lindsay Lohan James Deen movie The Canyons he's going to make The Dying of the Light, about a CIA agent who goes blind, with Nicolas Winding Refn producing. Refn was supposed to direct the movie with Harrison Ford and Channing Tatum but that fell apart, I guess.
--- Hemmed In - Somebody watch this trailer for Paranoia and tell me if there are more shots of Liam Hemsworth in a swimming pool like that still they already released and then I will go ahead and watch the trailer. Otherwise, meh. ETA Okay I figured as much; I went ahead and watched it and this might as well be called The Shirtless Liam Hemsworth Movie. Here are a couple caps:

Paranoia was an excellent book, doubt the movie will be.
Why do you have it out for Robert Downey, Jr. so much? J/W
I don't see Carey Mulligan as Hillary, I like her very much but I think Jessica Chastain has a stronger screen persona and if any one has a strong vibe it's Hillary Clinton. No one will ever be a better Hill than Emma Thompson in Primary Colors though.
As Bill I think Joel Edgerton would be ideal. Not just because he's a rising actor and a good one but there is some resemblance between the two that would add to his performance.
