--- Machete Kills - Ah crap, BD got word that Platinum Dunes, the company that ruined Jason Voorhees and Freddy Kreuger, is still expecting to work on the next Friday the 13th movie. I'd hoped with the rights being tossed around that PD would be out of the Camp Crystal Lake business for good. Damn it. Maybe they learned their lesson? (I fucking doubt it - we are talking about Michael Bay here.)
--- And finally, here's the long long awaited trailer for Bong Joon-ho's Snowpiercer! (via) I haven't watched it yet, I will once I'm done writing all this nonsense and have it posted - I don't expect there to be much in the way of Chris Evans or Jamie Bell with their clothes off or making out or anything in it, but hey, you never know, if it surprises me I will come back and post about that. Besides those distant possibilities, I'm looking forward to seeing Tilda being nut-cakes here. It's out on August 1st in South Korea; I think we're still waiting for a US date.

Don't remember the "bad-ass gang-banger whose one redeeming trait is his love for his mother" character, but, after an excellent opening scene, the book turned incredibly stoopid. I was expecting a lot from Del Toro, but this was a mess.
Golly, it's so ironic when somebody misspells stupid! Ha ha.
The fact that the book rated 4 out of 5 stars in over 500 book reviews speaks more about the books than one review by somebody that can't spell.
The bad-ass gang-banger was a minor character in book 1 & 2 and played an important part in book 3. His mother is "infected" by vampires and he doesn't want to cut her head off. Plus, the Master speaks telepathically through her. I know how that sounds, just read the books.
I'm looking forward to this series. It will be interesting to see who they cast in the other lead roles.

You might want to check out a book called Twilight. Its Amazon rating is 4.1 out of 5 stars in over 6000 book reviews.

Come on guys, it's just a book! It's not like we're talking about the unassailable merits of something like Dominic Cooper's rump here or anything. Let's all get some strong pints (wink) and agree to disagree. Make luv, not war. :) Anyway I appreciate the opposing opinions because that's what I've heard pretty much fifty fifty on the series.
