Even though I'm not the world's biggest Woody Harrelson fan or the world's biggest Matthew McConoughey fan (if I had to choose between them I'd definitely be Team Woody though) I am still super duper excited about True Detective, HBO's upcoming eight-part series about two cops chasing a serial killer in the mid-90s and beyond, because it's coming at us from director Cary Fukunaga who we just love. In their article which alerted me to that there teaser above, EW strangely never even mentions Fukunaga - they do chat with writer/exec. producer Nico Pizzolatto though, who says the show's more about the cops than the killer. As if that's never been done before? Anyway it airs in early 2014. Can I set my DVR now?

At least we're finally getting a new show about authorities in pursuit of a serial killer.
I see what you did there, Will!
