I Am Link

.
--- RIPD Off - I kind of can't believe what a rip-off of Men In Black that RIPD comes off in the first trailer. I mean, it's kind of shocking. But I also kind of wish I could have watched this version with Ryan Reynolds in snug pants in the first place, and skipped having to deal with Will Smith.
.
--- Cold Shower - In honor of the wettest month The Film Experience is celebrating with its "April Showers" series, and today's entry takes a look at the opening scene in the really marvelous 2012 movie The Loneliest Planet (it was #12 on my favorite movies of last year) - the scene is NSFW, so only click over if you can look at nakedness, though. If you're at Starbucks, don't do it! The lady in line next to you will judge you.

--- France Given Forgiven - Here are a couple new international trailers with new footage for Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives, his and Ryan Gosling's second team-up after Drive, also starring what looks like a very exciting performance out of Kristen Scott Thomas, fingers crossed. OGF is showing at Cannes, whose line-up was just announced, read it here. Oh and here's the first poster for OGF too.

--- Hiddles Snaps - Tom Hiddleston is going to star in a biopic about a WWII photographer, that Michael Mann is directing. Probably. Mann is making that "cyber thriller" that Chris Hemsworth is starring in first. I guess Michael Mann has a thing for the heads of Asgard state.

--- Jump Starter - There is going to be a 21 Jump Street sequel. I'm only surprised it took them this long to announce that. The first one was a hit and much much better than it had any right being. I only hope that Brie Larson comes back! Oh, and also that Channing takes off his pants. That too.

--- Yeah Yeah Yeti - Glenn's rounding up some striking posters that've come out in the past week or so, including a really cool one for Bobcat Goldthwait's next movie, which I believe is a Bigfoot horror flick (!!!) called Willow Creek. Who saw this second career for Bobcat coming? Anybody, anybody?

--- Marvel Everywhere - DH rounded up a couple of choice quotes from Joss Whedon on the SHIELD televsion show and on the Avengers sequel. I guess they just finished shooting the pilot for SHIELD. Which is maybe called Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, or just Agents of SHEILD, now. Nobody seems to know.
