Happy 50, The Birds

.
I posted that back when it would have been Hitchcock's birthday last year - it seemed appropriate to trot out the same delightfully deranged gif today on the 50th anniversary of his 1963 film The Birds, especially since I'm way too busy to do anything proper post-wise in its honor this week. How do you rank The Birds? Do you consider it amongst Hitch's best? I do - I think it's the last truly great movie he made (I have issues with Marnie and Frenzy).

I agree that The Birds is his last great one. Frenzy is very good but misses greatness and Marnie is an interesting failure.
From the same period Topaz if not his worst film is definitely in the running for that title.
