Probably the sweetest movie that contains open-mouthed brain-chewing that will ever be made. (I guess we'll have to wait and see how Meryl Streep plays her character in August: Osage County before we know that for sure.) If it'd been a bigger hit (although it is doing good enough business, I guess) I'd say it's the movie that turned Nicholas Hoult into a big star, but it's definitely a notch upwards on the post. You're on your way, Nicky! It's just a totally charming, goofy, spot-on performance, that's got the audience eating (brains) out of his hand by the end. He and Theresa Palmer have chemistry to spare - like the best rom-coms, even though you can see and comprehend the things keeping these kids apart, goshdarnit do they make you want to see those things get smashed to little smithereens so zombie love can prevail.
