Super sad to read this morning that one of my favorite hang-outs here in New York City is closing - the Emerald Inn, an Irish pub over by Lincoln Center, is getting priced out because of rent and will close at the end of April. Scenes from The Apartment were filmed there, as you can see in these pictures; whenever I was seeing a movie in the neighborhood (the New York Film Festival happens only a couple of blocks away) I'd always grab a beer there. God I'm talking as if its already gone!
