I Am Weaver

I blogged about this movie over at The Film Experience last week and this news was brought up in the comments therein but I'm just now realizing that I never mentioned it here which is tre blaspheme - Sigourney Weaver has taken a role in that new movie from I Am Love helmer Luca Guadagnino called Body Art, which already had Isabelle Huppert, Denis Lavant, and David Cronenberg set to star. it's an adaptation of Don Delillo's book The Body Artist, which is about a performance artist (Huppert) who becomes isolated after her husband commits suicide. Also brought up in the TFE comments (those folks know their stuff) - the picture above is of Huppert and Weaver scoping out the Dior fashions a few weeks back because the same dude who dressed Tilda so memorably in IAL will be dressing them up in this here movie. I can really picture actresses looking at I Am Love and being all, "I want to work with somebody who will make me look like that right fucking now," so this doesn't surprise me.
