Inspired by something I just tweeted - it struck me that these similarly trash-tastic performances (both opposite Mr. 2012 Matthew McConaughey, at that) are two of the best of the year, and they aren't winning jack-shit recognition-wise. In ten years you tell me if Charlotte Bliss and Sharla Smith have dulled a bit from your recollection - methinks the answer will be a spit-flecked "Ffffuuuuuck no." I'm sure both of these ladies will get some affection once I get to my awards ages and ages from now.
Oh and since I'm on the subject of Killer Joe and things that will feature in my eventual 2012 awards and I never did post these, here are some pictures of Matthew McConaughey's naked ass and semi-obscured dangly bits in Joe, after the jump...

I haven't seen either movie but Gena Gershon as a hot mess in anything usually trumps all, so I had to go with that.
I have no words for Killer Joe. First movie in a while that left me speechless and without an opinion.

Nicole Kidman is hot as hell but Gina Gershon is the queen of trashy movies. Between Showgirls, Bound and now her amazing performance in Killer Joe.. I think I have to go with her for being such an icon in trash cinema. I love you, Gina Gershon!
