--- Big Rider - Any trailer that starts with Xavier Samuel posing for the camera without a shirt on is good in my books, so here's the trailer for Drift, a new Aussie surfing movie with him and Sam Worthington. I don't really understand why surfing movies keep getting made, though.

--- Act Good - Joe Reid names his 12 favorite performances of 2012 over at Film.com - his eternal devotion to Salma Hayek in Savages is heartwarming.

--- Minus Plus - Nathaniel wrote up a terrific piece at The Film Experience on what he sees as the weaknesses in the film's Best Pictures this year, pointing out that nothing is perfect and the either/or for/against conversations these days are exhausting.

--- Beats Off - The Playlist has got the first picture from Kill Your Darlings, that true life murder story involving the Beats that stars Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg, Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr, Jack Huston as Jack Kerouac, and Ben Foster as William Burroughs, and that's just who you see in the picture. Also in the film is Elizabeth Olsen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael C. Hall, and Kyra Sedgewick. Anyway I wanna see this movie. It's playing at Sundance.

--- Canned Goods - Olly Moss designs a lot of the beautiful posters that the fanboys go nuts for via the Alamo Drafthouse; Slash caught up with him to discuss the posters he almost made this year but didn't for whatever reason, and there are some real beauties.

--- Northern Heat - Scott Speedman has joined the cast of Atom Egoyan's next movie, which already stars Ryan Reynolds. Canucks everywhere! And yes Scott Speedman and Ryan Reynolds in the same movie. Cue countdown to me thinking of them having sex in oh right I started that before I even started this sentence nevermind.
