I really wonder what he was like to make love with? He's an interestng man - so beautiful but kinda pig-headed - at least that's the impression I always got when I saw him as himself or read anything he wrote or any personality profiles. I feel like he was probably one of those impossibly beautiful men who was so self-contained and clear headed that he was impenetrable. Sometimes I imagine Joanne Woodward is that way too and that that's why they had such a long marriage. They didn't need or want that much from each other. Does anyone out there think he was a great lover? I don't know...I just don't get a sense he was that sensual - even in his movies. Steer me in the right direction if I've missed something.

These are from the excellent thriller The Prize wherein Paul, as a Nobel Prize winner!, while being chased by thugs unknowingly seeks refuge at a nudist convention. A good suspense flick with a sense of humor and Elke Sommer and Diane Baker with some gravity defying hair and gorgeous 60's fashions. He was definitely at his physical peak then.

I think he's a jerk. He left his wife and kid once he got to Hollywood which sucks hard in my book.

Getting a divorce doesn't make you a jerk. People get divorced for good reasons. He stayed with his second wife quite a long time, for what it's worth.
