Shiloh Fernandez, who cleans up well but not often, has landed the lead role in Gregg Araki's next movie, and how did I not see this coming? Shiloh's square in Gregg's Joseph Gordon-Levitt James Duval wheelhouse of pretty, vaguely-ethnic, brunette boys. The movie's called White Bird and it's about a girl (Shailene Woodley) whose life spins out of control after her mother (Eva Green) disappears. That sounds like a serious story, but who knows if Araki will shift tonally back to Mysterious Skin territory or if this will involve lots of technicolor boinking a la Kaboom.
