I Am Link

.
--- Getcha Cabin - Hey you people, The Cabin in the Woods is out on DVD today! Woot woot. The studly UPS man just delivered my copy a little bit earlier - I am complete. The Playlist chatted with co-writer/ director/ human giant Drew Goddard about the film's influences and there are some surprises.

--- Boys To Men - Korean director Park Chan-wook is lining up what might be his next project - it's called Corsica 72 and it's about two childhood friends who grow apart, one becomes good, one becomes a gangster, yes there is a girl who comes between them, yadda yadda this story's as old as time itself. That's not to dismiss it - it's in the telling where it becomes fresh and I have no doubts that Park Chan-wook can make anything fresh.

--- Jaws Drops - I'm not reading Glenn's review of the "sharks attack a supermarket!" movie called Bait 3D until I see the movie myself - thankfully it's coming in the mail from Netflix right this second - but I do feel it's my obligation to post that picture of an actor named Richard Brancatisano who is apparently in the movie, says Glenn, because hello.

--- Death Box - Add one more project to the project heap for Guillermo Del Toro - he's attached himself to a loose adaptation of the book The Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, which tells the true story of "forensic pioneer Frances Glessner Lee," who revolutionized crime scene studies back in the 20s and 30s by building adorable little murder dioramas. Sounds like they'll be fictionalizing the story though, and making it a Hitchcockian thriller about a housewife. I like. This will be for HBO.

--- Oh Look it's some more recapping of the first season of Homeland from my awesome friend Sean. Can't go wrong!
