I Am Link

.
--- First Things First, apparently Matt Bomer will be doing some boxing in an upcoming episode of White Collar, which of course is in no way an excuse to get him out of his clothes by anybody who has eyes.

--- Film Lover - I've been away for several days, you maybe noticed, so there's a whole lot that slipped past me news-wise, but nothing so incredibly cool as the guest-blogging that beloved actress Melanie Lynskey did for Nat over at The Film Experience - check it all out over here. We always knew she was a great actress but now we know for sure she's an incredible woman, too.

--- Polley Amour - I haven't gotten a chance to read this yet myself but thanks to Nat for the heads-up - here's Sarah Polley blogging about her next movie called Stories We Tell, a documentary about her own family, which just screened in Venice.

--- Hark An Ark - Some pictures from the set of Darren Aronofsky's Noah movie made their way online, including looks at its stars Logan Lerman and Madison Davenport, as well as good ol' Darren himself. The costumes are let's say not necessarily period appropriate.

--- Sexy Times - Udo Kier has joined the cast of Lars Von Trier's Nypmhomaniac - since he's been in pretty much everything Lars has made this is not a surprise. I hope he reenacts his scene from My Own Private Idaho just with Shia and Jamie Bell. Either that or he plays his character from Melancholia and just refuses to make eye contact with everyone.

--- Spy Daddy - A new batch of new pictures from next James Bond movie Skfall features our first good still-life look at Daniel Craig's nipples. I mean, we've had plenty of good looks at Dan's nipples in the past, obviously - I'm talking this movie specifically. There was that one shot of him from behind in his swim-trunks that wasn't too shabby, even if it were nip-free. And there was a look in the trailer, too.

--- Sure Likes The Bone - Haven't watched this new UK trailer for the much-anticipated-by-me movie Rust & Bone starring Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenarts since I doubt it could be any better than that behind-the-scenes look at the film's leg-erasing special effects that featured copious full-frontal from Matthias. I mean, duh.
.
--- Vice Man - Paul Thomas Anderson's let on that he's working on adapting Thomas Pynchon's book Inherent Vice for reals next. It's about a private dick who kidnaps a billionaire in 1960's LA; they describe it as comic and psychedelic. Anybody read it?

--- Smaug Alert - I'm sure y'all read this by now but the names and dates for the three Hobbit movies have been set, with the big news the second film is now called The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, which at first sounded awesome to me, then the longer I stared at it the more the words started to seem to lose all meaning and become gibberish. I'm going back and forth on it. Related: here's the first look at Lee Pace all elfed up.
.
--- Into The Woods - BD chatted with Kristen Connolly, who plays the "final girl" in The Cabin in the Woods about that wonderful movie - which is out on DVD in a couple of weeks! - as well as Barry Levinson's The Bay, which I hope to see at NYFF next month. We like her.
