Yesterday TV Line reported that Laurnece Fishburne was "circling" the role of Jack Crawford (played by Scott Glenn in Silence of the Lambs) in Bryan Fuller's upcoming cannibal procedural Hannibal, about that little lord Lecter. Also yesterday, Fuller himself posted on his Facebook hat the role of Crawford had been cast. Does this mean that Fishburne has stopped circling and actually took the role? I suppose we'll have to wait for an official announcement, but I am guessing that's the case. This thing's cast is quite literally blowing my mind. Literally! Ka-boom. Hugh Dancy as Will Graham, and Mads Mikkelsen as the good doctor and now this. The gravitas of it all!
