I Am Link

.
--- Super Bosom - I haven't even come close to catching all the news that came out of Comic-Con (Pacific Rim! Ant Man! Et cetera!) and I feel like I never will, so let's just skip over most of that. I mean if you're looking for that, there are about a billion places you can find it, from real live people who were there even! But I do feel I should post the new poster for Man of Steel, because Cavill chest. Also, who doesn't want to see Zach Snyder and Henry make out? Look at them!

--- Crook's Game - A whole slew of new actors for the third season of A Game of Thrones were announced, including The Avengers (the old Avengers, not the new Avengers) Diana Rigg and Mackenzie Crook who will always and forever be Gareth from the original Office to me. Love him. He's playing the wilding warg (read: shapeshifter) Orell, whose part in the books is pretty small (at least, in human form) but important. Rigg is playing the Queen of Thorns, aka Margaery and Loras' grandmum.

--- Batness - If you want the Mondo poster for The Dark Knight Rises, seen there to the right, you should log on to Mondo's site on Wednesday, because for once you can actually get one. They say they'll print as many as are ordered in that 24 hour period, which is a big difference from how they usually sell their posters. Honestly I hope they do this for everything from now on, I'm tired of their "Ooh it's so exclusive!" bullshit. If they have a design I want, I don't want to sell it, I want to hang it on my wall, so just give it to me dammit. Anyway these Knight ones go for 40 bucks a pop. Even though I want to encourage this sales strategy, I don't want a poster for TDKR just yet; I think I'll see the movie first.

--- Batness, Two - But okay speaking of that movie, and the seeing of it, here's an ecstatic (and mostly spoiler-free) review from The Playlist. I want to go back and read this writer's review of TDKR before I know how much to trust him, though. I mean, he says Anne Hathaway's better than Michelle Pfieffer. Whatever, dude. He did get me psyched about Tom Hardy, though.

--- Mama's Gonna Buy You - Okay the one other thing from Comic-Con I will direct y'all to is a description of the panel that Bryan Fuller did on Saturday for his two upcoming NBC shows, Mockingbird Lane (the Munsters reboot) and Hannibal. The lucky a-holes in attendance got to see a bunch of footage from the Mockingbird pilot (That's Bryan and Cheyenne Jackson shooting the pilot there to the left) and also hear Fuller wax rhapsodic on the twisted bromance between Hannibal and FBI agent Will Graham that makes up the series' first season.

--- An Unnecessary Journey - Peter Jackson wants to turn The Hobbit into a trilogy, apparently. I have never read The Similarion, but I have never ever gotten the feeling that The Similarion would make for a good movie experience. Isn't it just endless Elven infighting? Somebody tell me I'm crazy.

The Silmarillion is a collection of somewhat related stories that take place aeons before the Hobbit/LOTR time. Not only is it nearly unfilmable, it would bear no logical relation to those films at all.
