The actress Amanda Plummer, who I've never found less than entirely creepy, and always confused with Nineties meth-nymphs Lori Petty and Jennifer Jason Leigh (all actresses that creep me out to one level or another), is going to play the character of "Wiress" in Catching Fire, the second Hunger Games story. I actually think this is very smart, but wholly unexpected, casting. You?

With all seriousness, the guy who plays Bubbles on Trailer Park Boys should play Wiress' pal/protector/mate (?) Beetee. Just the thought of him killing a bunch of jocks makes me smile...
'Nineties meth-nymphs': accurate, funny and describes a totally real phenomenon that I'd never really noticed before. Patricia Arquette is totally part of the sisterhood, right?
Ramona Lutz from Freeway in the new Hunger Games movie? Fuckin' yes please. Plummer does crazy like few others can.
Ivan - I have no idea what TPB is, so all I could picture was Bubbles from AbFab, and that was a strange thing to picture. ;)

Don't forget Juliette Lewis in the 'Nineties meth-nymphs' hall of fame. I, like Laika, didn't realize that was a phenomenon until you gave it a name but you know Lewis was a high ranking official, if not the queen of that club.
Also, now that she's being cast as Wiress, I can't see anyone else but her in the role. She also make for a good drugged out sector 6 contestant.
