Twice Bitten

.

The news is coming fast and hard with regards to Bryan Fuller's two projects at NBC - he is a busy boy. We heard yesterday that Mads Mikkelsen was cast as Hannibal Lecter in his take on the Thomas Harris' Silence of the Lambs books, and we heard this morning that Jerry O'Connell was going to play FrankenDad Herman Munster in Fuller's take on The Munsters

And now Deadline's reporting that the actress Mariana Klaveno is really really wanted for the role of Herman's vampire wife Lily. Mariana-what's-that-now you might ask yourself, as I did, until I looked her up and saw she played Bill's feisty (putting it mildly) vampire maker on True Blood, and she was AWESOME. I wouldn't have thought of her but that's why I'm not in casting - she's a totally inspired yet "D'oh! Of course!" pick for Lily.

However there is a problem - she's already contracted for Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry's  new show and they apparently don't want to let her go. Oh dear, backstage dramas! Hopefully it can sorted out. If not, I suppose I could throw on a long black wig and do my duty for God (Bryan Fuller) and country (Horror Entertainment).
