One of my heroes is gone - author and genius Maurice Sendak died today at 83 years old. I wrote up a few thoughts for The Film Experience so go read it over there. Where the Wild Things Are has been one of the most important forces in making me the weirdo I am; the world's a little less curmudgeonly today, and a thousand percent worse off for it.
