Y Control

.
I was just talking about Y: The Last Man last night, as I happily flashed around the first issue of writer Brian K. Vaughn's new comic series called Saga (which I have not read yet, but am still very excited about), which naturally led me to wonder what the frick was going on with Y and its super duper long gestating adaptation for other media (TV? Movie?). And sploosh today we have news, of a sort - THR reports that writers have been hired. Again. As long as they keep DJ Caruso and Shia Labeouf away like had been seriously threatened before, I'm fine, although this new duo of writers are responsible for the Charlie's Angels series so perhaps I should rethink. Y really ought to be a long-form series a la The Walking Dead (only, you know, good) though - they'd have to really butcher it to get it down to a single movie.

Who could we cast as Yorick now?

I second Y: The Last Man as a (AMC/HBO) tv series...and I think Joseph Gordon Levitt would be a wonderful Yorick.

A million times yes to JGL - he's PERFECT. I was trying to remember earlier who I'd cast in my mind before, it's been such a long time since I thought about it, and JGL's the man. GOD WHY WON'T HE JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN???
