I Am Link

.
--- The Tall Man Cometh - I was just attempting to rattle free this information from my chock-full brain the other day, to no avail - that is what Pascal Laugier, the director of Martyrs, quite possibly the greatest horror film of the new millennium, is doing next. I've posted about it before, but it's been awhile. It's called The Tall Man, and it stars Jessica Biel among others. I'm trying to reserve judgment on her since Martyrs is a masterpiece, so let me do that please. DC has a new image from the movie, a blurry snap from AFM, seen there to the right, and some "test reel footage," which I haven't watched lest I spoil myself. No idea when we'll get to see this movie. Probably next year, we hope.

--- Spaced - George Clooney told some new stuff to USA Today about Alfonso Cuarón's looooong awaited follow-up to Children of Men, Gravity, in which Clooney and Sandra Bullock are playing isolated space folk. Says he:

"A satellite blows up... and space junk causes damage. We go out in space suits, and she and I are tethered together, floating through space. ... It's a two-hander with only two actors in the whole film. It is a very odd film, really. Two people in space. No monsters. It's more like 2001 than an action film."

He also says he didn't like shooting 3D, but he hasn't seen any of the movie yet - that the studio itself only just got a first cut to look at. Gimme! Gimme, gimme, gimme!
.
--- Love At First Bite - Via Slash that's the first image of Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer in Warm Bodies, that zom-rom-com that I've been blathering about for ages. I don't know if they could make it look more Twilighty if they tried. Trust me, the book by Isaac Marion is so much funnier and stranger than that.

--- Down Deep - First it was supposed to be Anna Faris, then Lindsay Lohan, and now Amanda Seyfried is apparently set to play Linda Lovelace. So many projects fall through the cracks in Hollywood and even if it hasn't had much luck getting made it doesn't really surprise me that they're gonna keep trying until they succeed with the movie about the hot chick with no gag reflex. Never surrender!

--- And finally, it doesn't seem much different from the earlier trailer but you can watch the US trailer for Steve McQueen's Shame with Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan over at this link. I'm not gonna watch them side by side to analyze it but they probably don't need to be very different since advertising in the US is so restricted for NC-17 movies, so the trailer, which will only be seen in limited quarters, can be the same as it is overseas where they'll show anything. European trailers are always showing bits and pieces, it's awesome. I hate this country's prudishness. Here are a couple super ultra HD caps from the trailer because Fassy, duh. Click 'em to grow.
