Good Morning, World

.

A happy 70th birthday to Franco Nero! Even though I knew him from Querelle - mmmm him in Querelle - I didn't become obsessed with Franco until I saw him in the spaghetti western Django, where he was surely at the height of his beauty. Those eyes! Although I still haven't seen Camelot, which he made a year later, and judging from pictures of that I need to get around to that like yesterday. He still acts - I could've sworn there were rumors he'd be in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, which is QT's slavery-spin on Nero's movie, but I don't see him listed at IMDb so maybe I made that up.

Just a word of warning, especially since you hate musicals to begin with. Camelot is one of the worst movie adaptations of a musical EVER. Overlong, dull, plodding pacing. Richard Harris can't actually sing, and fakes his way through by sing-talking. Vanessa Redgrave has an average voice that is not unpleasant to hear, but certainly is not Broadway quality. Franco Nero was dubbed.

Ooh thanks for the heads-up on that, anon! I'll watch it while doing something else, then. Fast-forward around him looking hot.
