The Pot Is Full Of Secrets To Be Told

.

Compared to the amount of Radiohead I've had on my brain this past several days, I'd say y'all have gotten off lightly with only a couple of posts about them. This could've turned into Ye Olde One Hundred Percent Yorke Blog easily. But I do know a couple of my readers, the good ones with good opinions, like Radiohead too, so I'm taking this opportunity to remind you that tonight's episode of The Colbert Report is an hour long Radiohead-ified affair. Via:

"Stephen Colbert meeting Radiohead is such a special occasion, a regular episode of "The Colbert Report" wasn't sufficient.

The Comedy Central show will air its first hour-long episode Sept. 26, when Colbert sits down with the British rock group.

Radiohead will perform four songs, featuring material off its most recent album, "The King of Limbs," as well as the recently debuted and unreleased track, "The Daily Mail." An additional song will also be performed for the online version of "The Colbert Report."

Colbert said in a statement: "I look forward to meeting the Radioheads and leveraging their anti-corporate indie cred to raise brand awareness for my sponsors."

I am looking forward to this muchly. "The Daily Mail" is one of my tippy top favorite new songs of theirs. And bonus, here's the gang performing "Staircase" beautifully on SNL this weekend.

Interesting that you posted this, I hadn't heard anything by Radiohead in years and when I watched them on SNL the first song just didn't do it for me, so when they did this song I was doing something else, not really paying attention, All of the sudden I realized I was listening to the most beautiful, nightmare like soundtrack I have ever heard. Stunning.

"Lotus Flower" the first song they sang sounds good on the album but it seems like it's a bitch for him to sing live, especially with all the squiggling about he does. But yeah, "Staircase" is really something. Loves it! You just wanna slip inside it when you've got headphones on. They really let Jonny Greenwood work his weirdo magic in its soundscape.

I love how Thom bowed after he was finished singing "Lotus Flower" on SNL.

I also love how long his hair is now.

And I love how Colin is dressed like the middle-aged father that he is.
