--- Ass Swap - If you're anything like me then you remember those shots of what-we-thought-was Chris Evans doing a naked scene for What's Your Number?, the Anna Faris comedy out this weekend, with happiness. Vivid vivid happiness. Well apparently he definitely had a butt double, which WTF. If Anna Faris and Chris Evans with their perfect bodies refuse to show a little ass then there is no hope for this world. Boo, Chris! Boo. Turns out it was Evans' old roomie who he gave the gig to, about which he had this to say:

"My butt double is my roommate in Boston! He's a kid I grew up with. Anna said she got a butt double for the bay scene. My buddy Zach was like, 'Who's going to be your butt double?' and I said, 'I don't know. Do you want the gig?' I brought him down, he met the director, did a little spin around and boom -- he's in the movie! He's got a great ass."

You know who else has a great ass, Chris? YOU. You have got a great ass. Now take your head out of it (and put mine in its place).

--- Spooks - Arbo takes a look at the 1975 chiller Haunts, which I've heard good stuff about forever and will have to get myself around to one of these days.

--- Stand Off - Arnold Schwarzenegger really is getting back into the acting game I guess, and he's bringing pretty pretty Rodrigo Santoro with him - they'll star as sheriff and rookie deputy, respectively, in The Last Stand, which sounds pretty High Noon-ish. It'll be directed by Kim Ji-woon who made last year's PHENOMENAL I Saw the Devil though, so I am totally there. I still need to watch his The Good, the Bad and the Weird, too. Another film of his, A Bittersweet Life, was pretty decent. Anyway, cool.

--- Good Twin, Evil Twin - I forgot to mention yesterday that my post on recent TV goings-on was brought on by Glenn's take on the stuff he's been watching, which you can read right here. He's hopeful that Ringer will up the camp factor, as am I even though I still haven't watched it yet. Turn that shit up to 20! Oh and it gave him an excuse to post a picture of X-Factor host Steve Jones, who is someone I wish I'd posted on when I first saw pictures of him last year so I wouldn't have to mention him now that he's associated with that godawful show. Alas. He is super hot though.

--- After The Overlook - He mentioned that he was working on this awhile back, but Stephen King's made it official - he is indeed writing a sequel to The Shining, and it is called Doctor Sleep, and somehow it involves vampires? Okay. When he spoke of the book before it was about a grown-up Danny Torrance learning to harness his psychic powers, so we'll see how these threads mesh.

--- Pick Paul - Wanna know why this world sucks? This world sucks because, amongst things, Paul Verhoeven has trouble getting money to make movies. UGH. Twitch has the info on an experiment he's doing online right now in order to keep himself busy though, and it sounds interesting. I don't know if it's interesting enough to make up for him not making giant movies right now, but it'll have to do, apparently.

--- The Big Man - It was only a couple of weeks ago that I rambled a bit about my love for Roald Dahl, and now we've got word that they're gonna make a movie out of The BFG (that stands for The Big Friendly Giant, if you're unawares). Oh and "they" means "E.T. screenwriter Melissa Mathison, so far. That's one I haven't read since I was a kid but I ADORED it as a kid. I have vivid memories of the girl protagonist riding around in the giant's ear.

--- Smurf Herself - Jacki Weaver's joining the cast of David O. Russell's next movie, an adaptation of the book The Silver Linings Playbook, which already stars Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro (I'm starting to think they're doing it), as well as Jennifer Lawrence.

--- UnMüttered - I saw The Quay Brothers' new film, a documentary on the Mütter Museum in Philly, over the weekend and thought it stunk, save a couple nice images. Which stinks! They should've been perfect for that. Alas. Twitch writes up a little bit more about the piece if you care. I look forward to a show on their previous interesting films that'll be at MoMA next year though.
