Didja hear that a duo's been hired to work on a sequel/reboot to Beetlejuice? Kinda makes ya feel like this, right?
They're the dudes who are working with Tim Burton right now on the Dark Shadows movie, and Mr. Burton, proving himself these days to be a tireless hack, in on-board with it. There are several hundred reasons this can't possibly work, but let's just list off five. Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Geena Davis and young hot Alec Baldwin.
They, along with Jeffrey Jones and Glenn Shadix, are why that movie worked. Works. If they aren't invited, fuck off.

Tim Burton has been sadly irrelevant for a long time. Seeing his exhibit at the TIFF Lightbox in Toronto made me realize how far and how fast he has fallen.
I blame Planet of the Apes.
Has it already been a year since Glenn Shadix died? Too bad he won't be around for a cameo if this horrible thing happens.
Remember the awesome Beetlejuice cartoon? I used to watch that ALL THE TIME.
OMG I watched the shit out of that cartoon and had totally forgotten it existed until you just brought it up. Maybe they could find their story ideas from that.
