Damned If Ya Dali

One hundred and seven years and countless eyeball-slashings ago, a baby Salvador Dali slithered out on his mother's filth, presumably already nursing the pre-John-Waters world's most memorable mustache. From there, it's all history, and I speak upon some of it at The Film Experience today.



What especially fascinates me, me being me, is his work for Alfred Hitchcock's 1945 film Spellbound. Did you know his dream sequence was 20 minutes long at first? And all that extra footage has been lost. Makes you crazy, these sorts of stories. Here's an image from the lost footage:
