You Didn't Come In Here To Wash Your Hands

.

If you can believe this, Todd Solondz's paean to middle school miscreants Welcome to the Dollhouse was released in New York fifteen full years ago on March 22nd. I didn't see it until late in that Summer of 1996 - in a double-bill with Courage Under Fire of all movies! - but my memories of my first viewing of it burn as bright as if it were made fresh yesterday.

I know this is only two weeks notice but I'd been planning on writing something up myself for its anniversary and decided what they hey, I'll open it up to y'all and we'll make a party out of it. Dawn Weiner deserves it! Special People unite! Here are a couple of posts I've done in the past on the film that might give you inspiration...

Whatever you wanna write. Be it big or small, man or a child, rich or poor, fat or thin. You forward me a link to it and I'll link y'all up on Tuesday March 22nd. And haaaa-aaapppy Anniversary! Happy Ann-uh-ver-sary to you!
