I contemplated editing the previous post to add this in because it's a direct follow-up to
my dalliance with Fassy Britches, but since that's done and posted we'll just have to make this all its own. I realized I should give credit to the costume designer for
Jane Eyre since I was showing off duds he created, so I went and looked him up. His name's
Michael O'Connor, and I don't know how actual costume design works but I imagine to myself that at one point he had to measure Michael Fassbender's in-seam. I can turn any vocation into a porn fantasy! So I sat there thinking about that for a moment and then I noticed the movies O'Connor's worked on and, with these already-established porny thoughts in mind, I nearly swooned. Look at the dudes he has dressed lately!

Jamie Bell and Channing Tatum in
The Eagle - and it's a shame there aren't pictures online but he got briefly Channing into one of those olden-days fabric diaper things at one point. We love those! At least on Channing - I think they would probably chafe in real life.

Lee Pace in
Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day
James McAvoy in
The Last King of ScotlandAnd those are just the films he's billed as Designer for - he's worked in the costume departments of a Harry Potter, on Quills and Topsy Turvy and Emma. I need to watch Emma again. I loved Emma. Toni Collete y'all. Toni Collette.

Haha, I noticed that he was attached to both of the early year releases from Focus Features. Schamus is either smitten by him or just really wants another Costume Design Oscar.
i believe he's gay too, this Michael o'connor. If i recall correctly he thanked his boyfriend when winnign the oscar.
I think every person ought to read it.
