I Am Link

.
--- The Lady Lane - I read, as most of us probably did, the news of Amy Adams winning the role of Lois Lane in Zach Snyder's Superman movie over the weekend, and somehow for me this translated into me having dreams about this all night long last night. Of course these were mixed up with apocalyptic mushroom cloud dreams, so whatever sense there might have been was lost. Anyway I like Amy Adams very much and she will probably make for a fine Lois, but nothing will ever compare to my fantasies of Lizzy Caplan getting the role. She'd have been beyond perfect. Oh well.

--- Gods Gets Going - According to Neil Gaiman, he's signed a deal with an Oscar-winning director to make a movie out of American Gods. But he's not giving specifics yet. Want!

--- Princess MacDonald - Cinematical rounds up some info about Pixar's next flick Brave, including the wonderful news that the lead character, a Scottish princess in trouble, will be voiced by Kelly MacDonald, who we love. Love! She's replacing Reese Witherspoon who dropped out and good riddance, we says.

--- How I Met Your Avenger - I don't think I knew that large woman on How I Met Your Mother was in Joss Whedon's The Avengers. Is this new news? Anyway, she is. I don't watch that show but I guess she's awesome.

--- Games Guys - This too has been around since the weekend, but a bunch of names of young men testing for the roles of Peeta and Gale, rivals for Katniss' affections in The Hunger Games, made their way online. Josh Hutcherson and the oft-mentioned Hunter Parrish are among the Peetas, and Liam Hemsworth (brother of Thor) is up for Gale.

--- I Love Mel - Anybody who follows Melanie Lynskey on Twitter knows she's a sweetheart - well here's more proof: a very brief interview with her at AICN in which she further cements her place in all of our hearts by coming off as the most genuinely nice person on the planet.

--- And speaking of interviews with awesome ladies at AICN, here's a dual chat with Emily Mortimer and Zooey Deschanel about their new flick Our Idiot Brother, co-starring Paul Rudd.

--- Mirror Mirror - Slash gets us up to date with what's going on with those rival Snow White movies. Viggo's out of one, while Armie Hammer's up for another.

--- And finally, hey look, it's Michael Fassbender in a short film in 2003! Read more about it at that link.
