I Am Link

.
--- Cannabis Count - Well-sculpted Aaron Johnson's up for two movies - he could play one of the leads in Oliver Stone's pot-drama about two marijuana salesman that share a girlfriend who is kidnapped and ransomed by Mexican drug-lords. Or he could play Keira Knightley's aristocratic paramour in an adaptation of Anna Karenina for Atonement director Joe Wright. Choices, choices. Sounds like there's a higher chance of gay in the Stone picture so I say definitely do that one, Aaron.

--- Suzanne Says Hells Yeah - We already covered the new of Jennifer Lawrence's official Katniss casting here, but PopWrap offers up a quote we hadn't seen from Suzanne Collins, the author of the Hunger Games trilogy herself on the casting:

“Jennifer’s just an incredible actress. So powerful, vulnerable, beautiful, unforgiving and brave. I never thought we’d find somebody this perfect for the role. And I can’t wait for everyone to see her play it.”

--- Life's Too Depp - I hate that I have to learn about a new Ricky Gervais show for the BBC through word of Johnny Depp trying to get a guest-spot on said show, but I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles. Anyway Ricky's two previous shows, The Office and Extras, are among the greatest things ever put onto television, ever, so this thrills me.

The new show's called Life's Too Short and it's about the day to day life of Warwick Davis, best known as Willow in Willow and the Leprechaun in the Leprechaun movies and Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter movies, and now I totally remember reading about this show ages ago, nevermind that first part about not having heard of it, I'd just forgotten.

--- Bared McBongos - Movieline answers the question on all of our minds: Has Matthew McConaughey taken off his shirt in every single film he's been in? The answer might surprise you! Or not. Who cares, nips.

--- Jiggles - David O. Russell wants to see boobs. Lots and lots of boobs.

--- Starry Stars - The Van-Goghed-up poster for Woody Allen's latest movie inspired Glenn to list his 20 favorite Woody posters of all time and I hadn't seen half of these and they are very nice indeed.

--- No Gojira - There's apparently been some confusing rumors about Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim getting turned into a Godzilla movie, or Japan being written out of it entirely due to the catastrophes there, but AICN calls it bunk.

--- And finally, here is a short film directed by Harmony Korine. I haven't watched it yet but apparently it stars the band Die Antwoord. (via)
