I Am Link

.
--- Suck On It - True Blood proves once again that they know the property they're selling by having the first footage from season four be of Alexander Skarsgård's bared (and spectacular) torso. The show's back on June 12th so that gives them plenty of time to continue exploiting the show's menfolk. Keep it up!

--- Cry For Cthulhu - The big news today is obviously the fact that Guillermo Del Toro has, in the span of a day, gone from directing his Lovecraft movie in June to this movie isn't happening at all, and now he's directing some other giant monster movie. WTF? I like Harry's take on it at AICN but I do think it's probably hard for a studio to bet on Tom Cruise like they used to. But this sucks. I want this movie dammit! Can't James Cameron just dig the cost out of his private submarine's couch?

--- Got a Flat - Over at Billy Loves Stu Pax doesn't have much love for Rubber, the telepathic evil tire movie that's been making the rounds. Still haven't seen it myself sadly.

--- Rockin' Romanek - Somebody put together a reel of highlights from director Mark Romanek's awesome music videos and you can see it at Slash. The video for Nine Inch Nail's "Perfect Drug," with all its Edgar Allen Poe weirdness, is one of my favorites ever made. I'd live inside of it in a second.

--- I Like Mike - I've read so many Michael Fassbender interviews lately they're all starting to sound the same, but there's a good one over at AV Club that dives into some of his thoughts on Jung - who he's playing in Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method - and the Byronic Hero - one of which he'll be seen as this weekend in Jane Eyre. This weekend! Yeehaw! (thanks Dave)

--- Paul To Punch - Joe's latest take on the movies we will be watching soon is up at Low Resolution, and we're finally getting to some stuff worth seeing, it seems. Insidious, y'all.

--- Space Jockeys - Noomi Rapace, so spectacularly just okay in the Girl Who Set Fire to a Dragon's Nest movies, has talked a little bit about what her part is in the not-a-prequel-to-Alien movie Prometheus, especially in relation to "How Ripley will she be?" And they hired some dude named Rafe Spall to play the part that Scott McNairy of Monsters had been attached to but now... isn't apparently. Spall was in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz but I don't remember him in either.

Love Rafe Spall! He was one half of the young macho cop-duo (the other one Paddy Considine) in Hot Fuzz, and had the lead in recent BBC-series Pete Versus Life, which was a hoot. Plus he's a hottie.
